Licking County: Construction Update Published May 29,2025

Current and upcoming road closures and restrictions for Licking County are listed below. Click on each route to see the location at OHGO.com. 

State Route 37 Bridge Repair & Replacement - Replacement & repairs of two structures carrying SR 37 over Ramp Creek south of James Road.

• New impacts: Beginning Monday, June 2 SR 37 will close to traffic between Deeds Road and James Road for 120 days. Motorist will be unable to access SR 37 from Union Station Road or Hayes Road.  Detour: SR 37 to SR16 to SR 79 to SR 70 to SR 37 and reverse.

State Route 661 Intersection Improvements - Intersection improvements along SR 661 within the Village of Granville at three intersections: Main Street, Prospect Street and Pear Street. 

• Continued impacts: Two-way traffic being maintained with intermittent closures of N. Pearl and S. Main.

State Route 16 Bridge Replacements - This project includes the replacement of two bridges on SR 16 east of River Road. The structure over Raccoon Creek and the structure over T.J. Evans Trail will be replaced. Estimated completion is Summer 2025.
   • Continued impacts:  Motorist can expect nightly lane closures between the hours of 8 PM and 6 AM.

State Route 16 Resurfacing – Resurfacing and related work on SR 16 from SR 79 to Dayton Road. Estimated project completion is July 2025.

• Continued impacts: Motorist can expect nightly lane closures on SR 16 between SR 79 and Dayton Road for pavement repairs and resurfacing. 

State Route 79 Resurfacing – Resurfacing and related work on SR 79 from Hopewell Drive to SR 16. Estimated project completion is July 2025.

• Continued impacts: Motorist can expect nightly lane closures on SR 79 from Hopewell Drive to SR 16 for pavement repairs and resurfacing.
